Drinking Water Lead Analysis - Posted: Tues, June 8, 2021, 05:41 pm - By Kathleen Windsor
Are you concerned about high levels of lead within your drinking water? Would you like to participate in a Drinking Water Lead Analysis?

Like farmers do from time to time, Town residents are asked to get their water tested.The Town of Didsbury is looking for participants for this initiative and will schedule a visit from a Public Works employee and drop a sample bottle off at a prearranged time to collect a drinking water sample at your house.

Town employees will not enter your home. Instead, they will give clear directions on how and where to fill the bottle.

Public Works will take the sample and check for Lead levels within the drinking water. All costs associated with testing are covered by the Town of Didsbury.

The Town is looking for:
* 17 Homes built before 1960
* 7 Homes built between 1960 and 1975
* 1 Unit within a multi-unit complex

Information resulting from the testing will be provided to the homeowner.

If this would be something you may be interested in, please contact Adam Johnston at 403-335-7169. If you are calling, please call between 9 am and 3 pm.

Spots will be filled on a first come, first served basis. More information and directions will be given to residents who participate.
