It's License Renewal Time! - Posted: Tues, Dec 29, 2020, 05:23 pm - By Kathleen Windsor
It's the first principle of responsible dog ownership in our region, to license your pets. Your animal license may be your pet's ticket home in the unfortunate event that it gets away. It's a form of insurance for your pet.

Love your dog. License your dog.Residents in the Town of Didsbury are required by law to have a tag for their dog(s) and cat(s).

In order to carry on business in Didsbury, businesses need licenses too. All businesses operating within the corporate boundaries of the town of Didsbury are required to possess a valid Business License.

This year, the Town of Didsbury is waiving business license fees, development permit fees and animal license fees for the first 3 months of 2021.

This initiative will benefit business owners who may be struggling due to the impacts of COVIDand#8208;19. In addition, the Town can reduce the number of inand#8208;person visits from hundreds of customers (January, 2020 visits for business and animal licenses were approximately 500 people), thus reducing close contacts, which is an important measure in reducing the spread of COVIDand#8208;19.

Animals and businesses still must be registered with the Town. It's just the fee that has been waived.
