Calling all Artists! - Posted: Thur, Jan 30, 2020, 04:35 pm
The Mountain View Arts Society is hosting the Art Show and Sale at the Didsbury Art, Travel and Trade Expo on April 18 and 19 and is looking for artists to bring their work and take part in this fabulous opportunity.

Come to the Art Show in Didsbury. The Trade Expo is well known throughout central Alberta as the largest trade show between Airdrie and Red Deer. About 2,500 people check out the 120 exhibits, enjoy the food court, and entertainment on both days.

Hours:
April 18: 9 am - 5 pm
April 19: 12 - 5 pm

This is a Juried Gallery-style Show. As in the past, for 2020, all artists will be asked to submit photos representative of their work.

Artists are encouraged to visit the Mountain View Arts Society website for information on entering the show and sale. Registration deadline is April 10th.

In addition to the Art Show itself, the exhibit includes an "Artist's Window". This popular area sheds light on the artistic process, how artists make art. Each artist has an opportunity to schedule a time when the public can watch them practice their craft, opening a window into the lives of artists as they go about their work. When you apply, make sure you take advantage on this spotlight.

If you have any questions, or do not have access to the internet to apply online, please contact Merrilee Anthony at 403-512-9888.

Didsbury has hosted an art show and sale for over 60 years and the talent already applying for this year's show is incredible. The Show will feature visual artists from Mountain View County and the surrounding region.

"A Brush with Art" Spring Art Show and Sale is being held in the Curling Rink of the Memorial Complex, 1702 - 21st Ave.
