|What can the kids do this summer? One of the most popular programs in Didsbury is Summer Fun, and it's time again to start thinking about signing up for exactly that, a summer filled with fun!! Games, activities, swimming, crafts, field trips - the list goes on and on!|
Summer Fun is a licensed week-long day camp program run by the Town of Didsbury. Each of the 9 weeks is themed with activities, crafts, games, swimming, volunteering, and an out-of-town field trip.
There are two camps once again this year, one for ages 5 - 8 years, and one for those 9 - 12 years of age. (Five year olds must have completed ECS in June.)
Day camps run weekly beginning July 2 through to August 30 from 9 am to 4 pm Monday to Friday, with before and after care available an hour before in the morning and for an hour after in the afternoon.
Registration opens May 6th. Register by June 14th for a reduced rate.
Early Bird rate: $175 first child and $165 for additional siblings
After June 14th, it's $185 and $175 for additional siblings.
This includes care from 7:30 am to 5:30 pm, swimming 4x per week, one out of town field trip per week, volunteering at the seniors facilities in town, ice cream Fridays and tons of other activities everyday to keep the children busy.
Not interested in the entire summer program? Drop in days are $45 and field trip days (Thursdays) are $55. There are only so many spots held for drop in days, so register early! Call 403-335-8719 for information on drop-in opportunities.
This year's field trips include Discovery Canyon, Big Fun Play Centre, Calgary Zoo, Granary Road, Heritage Park, Telus Spark, and Kraay Corn Maze.
Register through Didsbury Neighbourhood Place, 1606 - 14th Street, or by e-mailing email@example.com.
