|The Town of Didsbury is pleased to announce that the organization achieved 88% on their 2018 internal health and safety audit, and continues to maintain Certificate of Recognition (COR) status.|
The Town of Didsbury, along with certifying partner Alberta Municipal Health and Safety Association (AMHSA), conducts an annual health and safety audit based on legislated requirements. The 2018 internal audit saw scoring of over 80% individually across the eight elements reviewed. The COR status recognizes a meaningful and well-implemented health and safety management system, which leads to a reduction in workplace losses, injuries and illnesses.
Internal audits (COR maintenance audits) are conducted every two years, with an external audit occurring every three years. 2019 will see an external review for the Town of Didsbury, where another municipal audit team will be on-site to review all aspects of the municipal safety program. This is to ensure that the Town of Didsbury has a comprehensive health and safety management system in place for the organization.
