Do you need before school care? - Posted: Fri, Aug 31, 2018, 11:20 am
Or after school care? Then you'll want to contact the programmers at Didsbury's Out of School Care Association. They have space available for new families in the 2018/2019 school year.

The goal of the Didsbury Out of School Care Association program (DOSCA) is to provide for the needs of growing children. For a child to spend their entire day in a classroom, spending both time and energy in learning math equations, writing paragraphs and reciting poetry, the time they spend after school should be relaxing, fun and joyful. DOSCA provides an environment that allows your children to unwind from their day.

DOSCA recognizes the need to provide a fun, safe place for children to come when their parents cannot be with them. They incorporate learning experiences and social skills into our recreation planning so our young people have an enjoyable experience.

Besides, of course, quality child care, programs revolve around arts and crafts, cooking and baking, outdoor play, games, and so on. It is designed for children between 5 and 12 years of age.

During the school year, DOSCA is open for before and after-school care from 6:15 am to 8:20 am and 3:15 pm to 6:15 pm in the Ross Ford Elementary School in Didsbury. DOSCA is also open for non-instructional days from 7:30 am - 5:30 pm in the Multi-Purpose Room at the Didsbury Memorial Complex.

Contact Trudy Emshey, DOSCA Facilitator at 403-335-8719 at Didsbury Neighbourhood Place, for further information. The DOSCA Handbook can be found on the Town's website.

Fees are based on $7.50 per hour with discounts for multiple family members. The Full Day Program is $45/child per day (some exceptions apply). To reserve your child(rens) space, complete the form on this page and drop it off along at Didsbury Neighborhood Place located at 1606 - 14th Street.
